My name is Sacha Marylove. I am from the Republic of Mauritius. I am the mother of little Melissa, who is barely 3 years old. Since her birth, we have been fighting a long battle against a very serious illness: atherosclerosis at a very advanced stage (heart failure). We found your email address on the internet.
For the past two years, we have been fighting every day with courage alongside our child. Thanks to the support of the Government and kind-hearted people, she has already undergone several procedures in the past. Today, we have traveled again to India for my child's final surgery (the 3rd one). We are at the Fortis Child Heart Centre, Gurgaon, Mumbai, under the care of Dr. Shah and Dr. Mathur.
Unfortunately, just when we thought we were seeing light at the end of the tunnel, we were informed upon arrival that the cost of Melissa's final life-saving operation has increased significantly. This surgery is absolutely essential for her survival.
We have already contacted the authorities to request additional assistance, but the process takes time (we must wait 2 to 4 weeks), while we need this support as soon as possible.
We are short of Rs 540,000. (i.e approximately 12,000$)
A special thank you to:
Mr. Bernard, Didier and Diana Arafat, for their precious help.
Mr. Mardemootoo and Ms. Renuka from the Ministry, for their kind support.
Mrs. Tyack, Mrs. Ragini and Mr. Stephane, who helped us with the government documents.
The Marye Pike association, which republished our story on their website: https://www.smp.mu/atteinte-dune-atherosclerose-melissa-1-an-a-besoin-de-rs-310-000-pour-ses-traitements/
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
"Every heartbeat of my little Melissa carries our hopes, and every prayer and your support give her the strength to keep fighting."
With all my love and gratitude,
Baby Melissa, Mom Sacha, and Dad Nash.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS FOR MY DAUGHTER.
